    How it comes together

    Four stages. Zero prior experience.

    Follow the step-by-step guide in the box. Most families finish over a weekend, a few relaxed sessions at a time.

      Mix the mortar

      A spoon of the ready cement mix and a few drops of water — stir with the palette knife until it's like thick paste. No measuring, no mess.

      Lay the walls

      Spread a thin line of mortar on the base, press bricks in a running bond, use half bricks at the corners. Straight rows come naturally by the third one.

    3. 3

      Fix the door, windows and roof

      Glue the door and window into their openings, fit the overhangs, then tile the roof boards row by row from the bottom up.

      Second session
    4. 4

      Let it set, then show it off

      Leave it overnight. Paint it, light it, or keep the honest brick look. It's a real little building now.
